Buckeyes you never know where you will find them..at our house

Problem with making buckeyes in our house is...that the boys fight over them....let me remind you I have made over 12 dozen of them(7 for work cookie change and rest for home/company consumption)...let me add ALL 3 boys..enjoy hiding them from each other. They have been hidden in cabinets, refrigerator,

I must say my boys never broke an ornament off my tree....GRRRR! Good boys Bad DOG! now if you visit you will notice that the bottom 3 feet has no ornaments...(side note the date is one the one in the picture it reads 2000! So it was 11 years old! go figure)

Getting in Holiday Spirit for those serving overseas!

This year as in past years, the boys and I filled boxes full of games, magazines, candy, snack mix, holiday items, to send over to active duty members. This year we filled 6 boxes for family members of some face book friends. Boys enjoy helping me do this also. After all those serving are the HERO'S! Hope they enjoy our gifts and make them smile! They are packed and sent off today! Wanted to make sure they make it in pleanty of time.

Tina the turkey 2011

Hunter asked why everyone uses the phrase "tom the Turkey" my response was "no idea...lets name ours Tina this year" so here she is 18.5 pounds of her ready to be deep fried by our chef Roger!

Dinner was wonderful as usual, I tried a pumpkin puree this year, was not a big hit with others. (I thought it was close to what was served at CRUSH restaurant but again I'm no chef...LOL) the usual crowd of Dale,Linda, Brett, Charlie, Mary,Lyn, Boys, Darlene, Roger and I. Plenty of leftovers and sent the caucus (funny sounding) home with Darlene for soup! Everyone helped clean up and enjoy the afternoon.

You know dinner is good...

when your dog is drooling and and looks like spaghetti. Don't mind the evil eyes....

Side note dinner was spaghetti and meatballs...and a wonderful dish of Brussels sprouts made by chef Roger. (he is currently trying to duplicate the recipe served at CRUSH and I will report he is VERY CLOSE!)

that's Chili, Beer In November. This year was our 5th year hosting, and yes we broke last year record of 22 quarts by 6 more quarts! Once again if you did not attend plan on it next year. If i had to guess at a head count would be 75-90.

well, only thing I can think of is I did hit a bird 2months ago...who would have known....glad it was not a dear! Yikes!
